The Tao is empty but inexhaustible, bottomless, the ancestor of it all.
Within it, the sharp edges become smooth; the twisted knots loosen’ the sun is softened by a cloud; the dust settles into place.
It is hidden but always present. I do not know who gave birth to it. It seems to be the common ancestor of all, the father of things.
The Tao is everywhere, in everything and in everyone. It is there as a humble servant to us and there is no end to it.
Yet it is empty. There is nothing to be contained, it can’t be touched. It can only be felt.
It gives us the ability to step back from a situation, to reflect on the situation and manifest the outcome or know how to deal with an outcome that cannot be controlled.
The Tao also let’s us react without thinking, by flowing with the situation, to put emotion aside; to focus and perform.
Today, when you find yourself in a situation, sit back, relax and let the Tao take over. Do not judge, do not force, act with thought and not emotion. Often you will find that a response is not necessary which will lead to inner peace.
