About This Blog

Why am I writing this blog?  I suppose it is therapy of some sort.  I enjoy writing but don’t do it often.

I am on a journy, finding my spirituality, reorganizing my life, getting back on track.  I have been inspired to write by the Tao.

But I am finding the “why” part of this hard to answer.  As this develops, I will be able to answer this better.

I used the picture of the helicopter for a couple of reasons.

It is what I am trained to do for the Army.  I love it, it’s fun, and there is a great sense of freedom while in the machine enjoying the views above and below me.

I think this type of machine applys to the Tao, as the Tao applies to the machine.  The Tao is about moving in harmony with nature, life and yourself.  It is about keeping everything in balance as you move through life.

Helicopters are the same.  There are thousands of moving parts to a helicopter.  They all remain synchronized so that the machine operates smoothly and flies.  If they are not synchronized, the helicopter does not fly.

Hovering is the same way.  As the rotors turn, it creates a coushin of air that he helicopter rests on. If everything is not balanced, the helicopter won’t hover.

We also live not on the ground, and not in the clouds, but in the middle, as the Tao tells us to live our life.

So as the helicopter is synchronized, I will work to maintain the synchronicity in my life.  As the helicopter hovers, I will maintain the balance in my life.
